AWG silicone wire is a naming standard for silicone wires in the United States. The "AWG" refers to American Wire Gauge. It is a standard for distinguishing the diameter of wires, also known as Brown & Sharpe wire gauge. This standardized wire gauge system has been used in the United States since 1857.
The number represents the number of AWG silicone wires that can be inserted in the same area. The smaller the wire gauge number, the thicker the wire diameter, the greater the current it can carry. On the contrary, the larger the wire gauge number, the smaller the wire diameter, the smaller the current it can carry.
The AWG table is suitable for single, solid and round wires.
